Silpat was my #1 item on my christmas list, too bad my boyfriend didn’t know what it was.. If only he knew since he’s the one who would benefit the most from perfect cookies!!
I would make macarons. Cannot wait.

I made a second batch of oatmeal pie cookies without using Silpat and they turned out so flat and crispy. The next batch I made sure to use the Silpat and they were perfect.

The first thing I would bake with a silpat are roasted vegetables like sweet potatoes, onions, carrots, red potatoes and garlic. A great side dish, extra topping for a winter salad or to puree for a lovely soup!
Homemade biscuits!

I liked Silpat on Facebook and am considering finally joining Twitter if only to help my chances to win this contest. I WANT A SILPAT! 😉
ONE thing I have burned because I didn’t have a Silpat? There is not enough room in this comment. I can’t wait to make a million cookies for my husband (who can’t seem to get enough) with out burning the bottom! Our oven in our rental LOVES to burn the bottom while everything on top looks rosy and perfect. Xoxo
Silpat has been on my Wish List for years. It’s one of those items that would make a perfect gift because I just can’t spend that much for a pan liner when I still have so many rolls of parchment paper in the pantry. I want a Silpat in every size! 😉
peanut butter cookies!
I have wanted one for a long time, just seemed too expensive, but I see that it’s probably worth the price!

I bought one for my sister-in-law’s wedding present and had always wanted one also. When I bought my own home last summer, I had asked for it as a housewarming gift… But still no silpat! Darn! As the ‘Martha of Nevada’ (family nickname), I think I need this. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I cook GF with almond flour quite often. I burned most things at first, as things with almond flour cook so quickly! Biscuits were the most recent burn victim of my baking.

cranberry scones 🙁
Classic oatmeal cookies for sure.
In high school I decided to bake chocolate chip cookies for the first time. I used wax paper (instead of a silpat or parchment paper) and I burned the whole batch, the paper, the cookie sheet, everything. The smoke detector went off. Parents were screaming. Needless to say, there was a long recuperation period before I baked again.

I burnt granola bars. I needed a Silpat!
I desperately need a Silpat to prevent the mess that roasting tomatoes results in.
I made what I thought were the most brilliant cookies with my 3 year old niece, and she wanted to add caramels to them, you know the Kraft kind. So I gave her a handful chopped and she added them to the cookies we so lovingly made. Then we baked them, and knew they were done when acrid black smoke started billowing out of the oven… I have learned never to cook on un treated and unprotected cooking sheets!! Poor little niece was so disappointed, I had to give her chocolate! I did like on Twitter and Facebook, and Pinterest! Love your blog!!
Lied them on FB – thank you so much for this opportunity! I adore Silpats!!!!!
Liked, rather. Obviously. Wow.
I will never burn the bottom of cookies again with the Silpat. Half the batch of Christmas cookies I made burned on the bottom because I ran out of parchment paper.

I have one but typically have two cookie sheets going at once so it involves a lot of parchment. I would love a new one and scones would be the first thing I would bake for a girls’ brunch.
I have never owned one but long time wanted one! I think the first thing I would like to make using this amazing kitchen tool is a batch of fluffy biscuits!

It’s not that I typically burn things, but the non-stick, not having to buy parchment paper that’s a huge attraction for me with the Silpat. I’m craving pumpkin, even though it’s January so I’ll likely make this salted pumpkin chocolate chunk cookie recipe I found recently =)

Oh man, cannot tell you how many times I have burnt my cookies! Ugh the worst was when I was making confetti cookies & it was for a classroom treat, had nothing to show for it 🙁
This is easy. The first thing I’ll make is the same thing that I always burn. Coconut macaroons. A burnt macaroon? As Sweet Brown wisely said, “Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
I burnt biscuits because I didn’t have a silpat!
Cookies, of course! Probably chocolate chip. I really am anxious to see how the Silpat can improve the taste and quality of baked goods. I also want to get a Silpain! 😛
Wait did I miss the dead line??! It’s not midnight where I live!!! Sad.
I just friend a new recipe for chocolate chip cookies with a secret ingredient – shhhh – vanilla pudding! Burnt a batch & had to THROW THEM AWAY!! Heart breaking. This would change my baking world!
What haven’t I burnt, is the question!! Ever since Martha S made these famous I’ve been curious to see what all the fuss is about!
Some good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies!
Scones. Raspberry and blackberry with lemon zest. Freshness for winter!

Ugh! When I first started cooking with a gas oven, I burned everything! Rolls, cookies… I would LOVE a Silpat.

Well every time I bake my baking sheet gets nastier and nastier! With the mat I wouldn’t have that problem!!
I burned half of my peanut butter cookies… Because I only have one silpat and thought the other tray would be fine. Lesson learned!
I definitely have burned a batch or two of chocolate chip cookies without a silpat. womp womp

I’ve always wanted a Silpat. I have always loved baking and this year was my second year baking Christmas cookies. This year was worse than the first year. My cookies got stuck to the pan and several of them burned because I DIDN’T HAVE A SILPAT! My cookies ended up being cracked and crumbly :*(
the last time i baked cookies they stuck to the cookie sheet i have never tried this product sure hope i win it
I burn my peanut butter cookies pretty frequently. My cookie sheets are kind of old and a silpat would really help!
The first thing I’ll make would definitely be cookies, just not positive what kind. Either Chocolate chip or my famous Anisette cookies.

Always the Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Sugar cookies… Cheers to no more burnt hearts 🙂
I would love to try the Silpat! I have always wanted one! I would attempt to make a flour less chocolate cake 🙂
Thanks so much for the opportunity to win one!
Being that I am not the best baker, I don’t have any burned my “blank” stories because I leave the treat making to my BFF who uses Silpat! Maybe that’s her secret 😉 haha but what I do make really well and I know would turn out even better with a Silpat is what i call Caprese bread broil. I take toasted sliced baguette topped with a drizzle of pesto olive oil, a slice of fresh heirloom tomato, a basil leaf, a hunk of mozzarella, splashed with balsamic vinegar, broiled for a few minutes… I can imagine a Silpat would take this type of dish to the next level!
Cookies!
I’m not a good cook or baker. I would love to have a Silpat to bake chocolate chip cookies with my 2 daughters
chocolate chip cookies, nobody burns them…but I did! 🙁

A couple years ago, I decided to try to impress a foodie guy I was dating and make French macarons, which he loved.
Why I thought this would work is beyond me… I had never made them before, I was working in a tiny Manhattan kitchen with an apartment-size oven that I knew (or should have known) never heated evenly, and I had told him I was going to make them before I did — which if nothing else confirms they won’t come out well.
It took me days of soaking and scrubbing to get the somehow burned AND goopy mess off my baking sheets.
Also, we called it off soon after that. Not, ostensibly, because of the botched macarons.
(Despite this mishap, I am actually a frequent and, if I do say so myself, quite good baker. And now live in an apartment with a new, working oven. I would love a Silpat!)
Also, I have followed (Twitter & Pinterest) and liked (Facebook).

Cookies, cookies, cookies! I have developed a taste for the burnt ones, because…that is what I get! I use parchment paper, and that helps but after reading your posts this past year, I looked up Silpat and have put it on my wish list for my kitchen.
