Hi! It’s been awhile. Like a whole month awhile. I took on a huge project at the start of the year, which I’ll tell you more about soon, mixed with a side of taxes (bleh!). I’m just now starting to dig out from beneath the rubble. I feel like I need to say sorry to every family member, friend, and reader. But my friend, Grace, recently wrote a post about how women say sorry too much. I’m certain she wrote it with me in mind. I’m the queen of misappropriated sorries. So instead of saying that, I’m giving you a peace offering in the form of a cocktail video. Because I’ve missed this space. And because tax season isn’t behind us just yet. Gulp.
On the bright side, the tips of tree branches are starting to swell. Tulips and daffodils are showing up at the store, though not in our Minnesota dirt yet. And citrus is still happily lining the produce aisles. I’ve been buying a bag or two a week.
This Minty Moscato Cocktail is a collection of all those bright things—sweet Seven Daughters Moscato, a squeeze of orange, an ounce of orange liqueur, and a couple sprigs of mint. I’m just going to rename this drink Sprinter Sangria. It’s one part spring, one part winter, and it goes does easy like sangria. In other news, my bad mom jokes are still going strong. Not sorry.
Here’s to one more month of tax season, to swollen branches turned blooms, to spring allergies (or is it a tax allergy?), to using the word sorry more appropriately, to lightweight jackets, to longer days, and to Minty Moscato Cocktails.
A smooth white wine cocktail flavored with citrus and mint.
Ingredients
Scale
Cocktail
4 oz. Seven Daughters Moscato
1 oz. orange liqueur
1 oz. fresh squeezed orange juice
1–2 sprigs of mint
handful of ice
Garnish
1 orange slice
1 strawberry, sliced (optional)
sprig of mint
a couple ice cubes
Instructions
Add cocktail ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake well, about 30 seconds. To alter the color of the cocktail, use different orange varieties like blood oranges and cara cara pink oranges.

Oh love this! I’m all for those flavors. The mint and citrus sound like a great way to transition into spring. Good look with the remainder of tax season! xoxo
I just bought myself a shaker, and now I know exactly what to do with it!!! I also bought my first (of many!) bottles of Seven Daughters Moscato and I luv it!!! As a fellow Minnesota gal, I love your blog because I can relate to so much. Keep it comin’
Drawn in by this beautiful cocktail and was so touched to find mention of my post. You’re so funny, I didn’t write it directed at you but I’m so happy it resonated with you! So I guess in that case I did write it just for you! *hugs*

The flavors sound very fresh. A shout out to our sisters and brothers in arms at the realfood-project.com
I’m absolutely going to need at least one of these for tax season. Cheers to bright drinks during the slow thaw of winter.

Thank you for writing that post! I needed to hear it. I’m the queen of silly sorries. Thanks for writing friend! You always challenge me.
I do the sorry thing, too! It’s an epidemic. …I need a drink. Cheers to perfectly timed posts!
