Homemade Hot Chocolate

  • Yield: 3-4 1x


  • 1/2 c. pure cane sugar
  • 1/3 c. high quality unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 tsp. kosher salt
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 4 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla


In a small saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, sea salt, and cinnamon. Add in milk and vanilla. Turn on heat to medium-high. Whisk continually until well combined. Heat until warm, about 10 minutes.

Serve and top with marshmallows or whipped cream. Garnish with peppermint bits, chocolate, or cinnamon.
