Salted Nutella Buttercream

Description

Add this buttercream to your favorite chocolate cake or cupcakes; the darker the better in my opinion. I like this buttercream on the salty side, but I’ll leave the level of saltiness up to you. Taste as you make never hurt anyone.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 c. Nutella
  • 1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c. heavy cream
  • kosher salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and nutella until well combined, about 1 minute.
  2. Add in heavy cream, powdered sugar, and salt to taste. Beat until light in color and fluffy, about 3 more minutes. Spread on cooled cake. Can I recommend my favorite chocolate cake recipe?
