Peppermint Mocha | The Fauxmartha

What will you be known for? Me? Most likely waffles with wheat flour. Baked Donuts with wheat flour. And homemade lattes that rival the $4+ variety. Now up on the bar, a Peppermint Mocha—the drink that first turned me on to coffee. It was high school. Senior year. I was walking through Target. Have I told this story before? Read more

Maple Pumpkin Latte Syrup | @thefauxmartha

Let me start out by saying—put down your dukes. Have you read the news? This is a heated subject—Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Put out your hand. Mine’s out too. Let’s shake. We’re all still friends here no matter how we take, or don’t take, the PSL. Agreed? Agreed. I’ve been using my mom voice a lot lately. It’s weirding me out too.

News: I’m excited to announce a partnership with Seven Daughters Wine. Let’s clink to that! This is the first of several collaborative posts.

There’s a point at which we become adults. I can’t pinpoint when exactly it happens, but inevitably, it does. We pack away the toys, paint our rooms neutral, turn off the cartoons, and start tuning into the news. We trade school days for work days, doodle-laden notebooks for to-do lists, and long summer breaks for “long” weekends. Though we may be more buttoned up compared to our younger selves, one thing is true—adults need popsicles too. Read more

Nutella Syrup | The Fauxmartha

I debated—do I update the Salted Nutella Latte recipe that sparked this search for a Nutella Syrup and run the risk of you not seeing it, or do I give it the spotlight it deserves with a new post? The decision was an easy one—make sure no one misses this recipe. The original latte recipe, which I’ll leave intact, calls for heating milk and Nutella in the microwave until combined, then adding/making simple syrup. It’s a bit cumbersome (and unfit for an iced version) but when Nutella is involved, one will go to great lengths. I have good news and bad news friends: I’ve removed the great lengths part.  Read more

Salted Nutella Latte | The Faux

Things are on repeat around here. Nutella, Nutella, Nutella. I wasn’t going to share this recipe until I mentioned it last post and a couple of you said—forget the buttercream, show us the latte. Or something like that. I heard you. There’s a Salted Nutella Latte, extra shot, light foam, no whip, easy on the sweetener, ready on the bar for you.  Read more

Lemonade | The Fauxmartha

When life gives you lemons, you squeeze them and make something good.

I have a list of recipes to work on and post for the remainder of the summer. I’ve never had a list like this before. Planning ahead is totally unlike me, but my brain capacity seems to be diminishing by the day. And ideas come to me as quickly as they fade. Lemonade was not on the list for this summer. Until last week, when we found a pile of lemons on our doorstep.  Read more

Creamy Strawberry Banana Copycat Angel Food Smoothie King Recipe | The Fauxmartha

I’ve always been a fan of smoothies. So much so in high school, I worked at a local Smoothie King shop. I made every smoothie recipe on the menu, but my favorite was their Angel Food Smoothie, a strawberry banana smoothie with turbinado sugar and the perfect ratio of nonfat milk to add creaminess. With no trace of angel food cake in the smoothie, their Angel Food Smoothie still tasted like heaven. Read more
