Who did you follow from the very, very beginning in the blogging world? Next to Smitten Kitchen, mine was Sweet Paul. I read through every last one of his magazines. Do you remember when they were only online? They usually went live when I was at work. I’d hide this particular browser among many windows I had open on my desktop. When no one was looking, I’d read through it.
I needed inspiration at my 9-5. Lots of it. And Sweet Paul always, always came through. His new book, Eat & Make, is not short on inspiration either. It’s a beauty! And so are Kev’s hands. Isn’t he a trooper?
Of course I immediately paused at the breakfast pages, bookmarking his Mormor’s Pancakes with a quick blueberry jam. They were the first thing I made. They are perfectly thin, just the way I like to cut the deck when playing cards. Thin to win. Also the way I like to eat my American-leavened pancakes.
Once we get our latest move out of the way, I plan on making every last kitchen craft in the book. Side note, did you know when I originally started this blog, I intended to include crafts. Some of my original recipes had crafts included. When I saw what Sweet Paul and my other crafty friends were doing, I decided to leave it to them. Although, you may see some crafts pop back up in the Fauxmama section if I can ever get my beep together.
