I’m starting to get more and more questions about food photography. I’m not a trained photographer by any means. Rather a fauxtographer. Ha! I started out knowing absolutely nothing, just look back in the archives. I’ve learned a little along the way and I’d love to share. If you have a question, leave a comment or email me and I’ll do my best to answer it in an upcoming post. Instagram questions welcome too.
PS—Thanks for reading every week, for your comments, questions, and encouragement. You guys make my life a little brighter. Well, maybe a lot brighter.

Ooh I’m always ready to learn from food photographers (or fauxtographers!).. I love your white backdrops, what exactly are they (i.e. What’s your set up? table, foam board, etc..) and what time of day to you typically shoot!? Thanks in advance! =)
White balance. Oh for tips on understanding white balance…
I’d love to know what camera/lenses you use!

You’re not a “trained photographer”? Really? You would never know! I’m also curious what time of day you like best for shooting and how long it takes to photograph a blog, on average.
What kind of lighting do you use? What do you use to edit your pictures?
Love your blog!
Do you have any tips for taking photos in the evening when there isn’t great natural light? I’m really struggling with artificial light. thanks!
