Tip of the Week Friday, March 9, 2012 Flash freeze fresh berries before using in baked treats such as scones, muffins, or quick breads. This keeps them from bursting while working with the dough. To do so, wash, dry, cut, and freeze berries flat on a baking sheet 2-3 hours before using. Great tip! I do a lot of baking. I will definitely start doing this with my fresh berry recipes. Have a great weekend!
This is such a great tip, fauxmartha! (Love love love the name too.)
This post came just in time – I’ve got raspberries and blueberries waiting for a muffin!
Great tip! I love all of your “Tip of the Week” posts, so helpful!
